This page explains how to request deletion of your data from Provia, and how to check the status of an existing request.
If you chatted with a Provia store on Messenger
When you remove the Provia-connected app from your Facebook account, Facebook sends Provia a signed deletion notice. Provia then deletes everything tied to your Facebook user ID:
- Your lead record (name and Messenger identifier)
- Every message you sent to a Provia store and the bot's replies to you
- The conversations themselves
- Webhook event logs associated with your Messenger sender ID
Deletion happens within 30 days of the notice. Provia returns a confirmation code immediately on receipt; you can check the status by visiting this page with ?id=<your-code> in the URL.
To trigger deletion: open Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → find the Provia-connected app → Remove. Facebook will notify Provia automatically.
If you are a store owner
To delete your Provia account and everything attached to it (your stores, products, leads, conversations, AI usage logs), email aliafana@smail.ucas.edu.ps from the email address associated with your Provia account. Use the subject line “Delete my Provia account.” Provia will confirm receipt within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is not deleted
Aggregated, anonymized statistics (total request counts, cost totals, error-rate trends) may be retained for service operations. These do not identify any individual or any specific message.
Records Provia is legally required to keep (for example, to respond to a lawful request from authorities) will be retained for the period required by law.
